Integration of careers service good for employment
Integration of Careers New Zealand into the Tertiary Education Commission is a positive move, says BusinessNZ.
The careers service is to become part of the Tertiary Education Commission, allowing for careers information and guidance to be better integrated with education choices from secondary through to tertiary education.
BusinessNZ Chief Executive Kirk Hope says there has long been a need for careers information to be better connected with industry and education choices, and the move will assist this.
“There needs to be better information flow around industry needs and skills and education choices – integrating Careers New Zealand within the Tertiary Education Commission will make a significant difference,” Mr Hope said.
