Business Buddy joins B1G1

Business Buddy joins B1G1

Business Buddy likes to give back to the community and now they’ve gone global.

Business Buddy head honcho, Kirsten Hawke, heard a B1G1 speaker at the Panalitix conference and she was keen to include Business Buddy in the philanthropic programme.

B1G1 stands for buy one give one, and it is a global business-giving initiative that is rapidly growing around the world.

For every chosen transaction, the participating business donates an amount that covers cool things like schooling for children in need, trees planting, access to clean water. The list goes on.

“The scheme fits in nicely with our core goals of being socially responsible, being good members of the community,” says Kirsten.

“There is a one off payment for businesses to join, then they choose which options to sponsor.

“There are heaps of different choices, and it’s very easy to set up.”

Business Buddy chose to provide five daily doses of vitamin supplements for children for every tax return we file.

And, when they take on a new client, they give one day’s bookkeeping training for a woman in Africa.

“We are very proud to be involved in such a great scheme,” says Kirsten.
