Pacific Business Trust to hold historical event with NZ Treasury

The NZ Treasury, with the support of the Pacific Business Trust, will hold an historical meeting on Wednesday 13 July 2016 with Pacific stakeholders and leaders. The meeting aims to set the platform for more collaboration and engagement with the Pacific community on the pathways and opportunities that Treasury could promote across government. This is to enable Pacific people to achieve equitable and sustainable living standards in the next 5 – 20 years.

The Treasury’s goal is raising living standards for all New Zealanders, and working with other sectors is the key towards achieving this ambition.

This gathering of thought leaders will open the opportunity for Pacific and community leaders to share their thoughts, suggestions and advice on the economic pathways, opportunities and initiatives that Treasury could actively promote across government. It is aimed towards enabling Pacific people to effectively achieve equitable and sustainable living standards for themselves, their families and the wider community.

This meeting marks the beginning of Treasury’s engagement with the New Zealand Pacific economic community.

The event will be held in partnership with the Pacific Business Trust on Wednesday 13 July 2016 at the Manukau Institute of Technology Building in Auckland.
