Wanaka mum Sarah-Jane Perriam will launch WanaSitter™, an innovative new website to connect babysitters, house-sitters and pet-sitters with clients, this Friday (July 15).
Launching in Wanaka, Queenstown and Cromwell, WanaSitter™ is an online booking platform that enables parents, pet owners and home owners to book trusted sitters and deal directly with them, rather than dealing with a traditional agency.
People needing a sitter simply visit the website, www.wanasitter.com, enter in the dates they want to book someone and their location, and the appropriate sitters – complete with bios and client reviews – pop up on screen.
“WanaSitter™ is like a match-making service. We provide the opportunity to connect clients with quality sitters, as well as allowing sitters to earn good money by removing the agency fee. We’re simplifying and streamlining the process of connecting people through an affordable service,” says Perriam, a mother-of-two.
Sitters sign up for a one-off $20 fee and receive free training, are police-checked and manage their own time slots and availability through the online service. Clients either pay $99 for an annual subscription to the website and its database or $19.95 each time they need a sitter, if they choose not to pay the annual subscription. Clients pay sitters directly - meaning sitters can set their own rate and keep 100% of their earnings.
WanaSitter™ has a large pool of verified sitters across Wanaka, Queenstown and Cromwell who have signed up and undergone training.
