The Christchurch Hangi House has opened its doors to the public having moved into their new commercial kitchen in Hillsborough, Christchurch after completing their intensive 15 week of commercial Hangi trials.

Business Owner Nikora Nitro is proud to bring to the public a commercial business product that will enable the general public and Hangi lovers to have Hangi every day, 7 days a week, all year round – right here in Christchurch.
“Hangi are available from 9am in the morning until 9pm at night and you can either pick up your hangi from our commercial kitchen at 7a Nuttal Drive, Christchurch or have it delivered to you or your work place” – says Nitro
The Christchurch Hangi House confirms that there are also other items on the menu that have been refined and are available such as the famous ‘fried bread’, ‘pork bones and watercress’, pan fried flounder’, fresh crayfish’ and of course chop suey, raw fish and much more.
The price range is amazing as each hangi flavour comes in small ($5), medium ($10) and large ($15). You can now get lamb hangi, pork hangi, chicken hangi or combination hangi with all three meats. Each hangi comes with potato, carrot, pumpkin, cabbage and our secret stuffing mixture that has been heralded by stuffing critics.
The business will be embarking on a product awareness campaign in the next two weeks with a special focus on the benefits of hangi which include knowing that the portions of hangi have a great balance of vegetables and meats that are steamed in their natural juices.
Vegetarians do not miss out either as The Christchurch Hangi House has designed a scrumptious hangi that has received great feedback.
Nitro says – “this business venture has been able to refine hangi to a state where it can be commercialised and used to provide employment here in Christchurch and in the future throughout New Zealand. There are currently 2 full time paid staff at the moment and this will grow in the next 10 weeks to a team of 15 paid full time staff as the marketing strategy kicks in”
