Inductees to Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame

Inductees to Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame

Congratulations are in order for the eight businesses that were inducted at the Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame awards presented by Deloitte Private and the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The eight businesses inducted were; Ata Rangi, Beca Ltd, E. Sime Group Ltd, Gee & Hickton Funeral Directors, Masterpet Corporation, Moore Wilson’s, Vega and Wellington Beds Ltd

“The Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame is to recognise and celebrate significant contributions by businesses to the economic and social fabric of our region,” says Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO Mark Futter.

“These eight businesses received a prestigious award at a gala dinner held in Lower Hutt, as well having their contributions to the economic and overall health of their communities acknowledged and celebrated.”

Deloitte Private Partner Mike Curtis says it is an honour to support this initiative.

“At Deloitte we aim to make an impact that matters in the communities and markets we work in. One of the ways we do this is by helping celebrate and encourage the success of New Zealand-based organisations,” says Mr Curtis.

“The companies honoured this year embody the ultimate measure of business success – longevity. They have been grown and nurtured for at least 20 years. And while they have no doubt adapted and changed over time, they are the types of businesses their founders and communities can be proud of.”

Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame is celebrated every July with eight inductees per annum.
