Happy Packs begins early sales in tackle against obesity

Happy Packs begins early sales in a tackle against childhood obesity

Happy Packs is pleased to today announce the launch of online ‘early’ sales of their reusable lunch pack.

The reusable lunch pack, created by the team of five from Wellington College under the Young Enterprise Scheme initiative, features kiwiana iconography over a purple neoprene bag.

The team is on a mission to encourage kiwi kids to enjoy their lunches. With a child focus through kiwiana artwork, Happy Packs hope that bringing that extra bit of excitement to kids lunchtimes will truly encourage kids to enjoy their lunch.

The Ministry of Health has classed one in nine New Zealand children as being overweight or obese, and by getting kids involved in packing their Happy Pack, parents will be able to teach their kids about making smarter choices with their food, thereby helping tackle this trend.

Happy Packs has launched online ‘early’ sales at happy-packs.mystorbie.com ahead of their two pop-up stalls at the Wellington Underground Market on August 20 & 27.

Sales Director Ashad Langdana says about the launch, ‘It is incredibly exciting to launch online early sales of Happy Packs. It’s amazing that we finally have the opportunity to showcase a product we have been designing over the past six months to the public. Hopefully this is the first step of many in the tackle against childhood obesity in New Zealand!’

The company is supported under the mentorship of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand NZ Head, Kirsten Patterson.

Happy Packs are available to purchase now at happy-packs.mystorbie.com
