SnapperNet widens it’s net

Auckland based Snapper Network Distributors Ltd (SnapperNet) is a New Zealand owned and operated company distributing a range of data communication products via a network of resellers and integrators. Three months ago they started a project with First Software to replace their existing ERP software used for distribution and financials as well as their standalone website for online orders from there resellers.

SnapperNet’s Managing Director, Richard Paul, says he wanted to remove double handling from the business as well as remove the reliance on spreadsheets for many processes. His search lead him to First Software, an Auckland based developer of Cloud ERP software for Retailers and Distributors. First Software’s N2 ERP application was able to meet Richard’s requirements for a single system that could handle POS, Distribution, Procurement, Financials and ecommerce in the Cloud.

SnapperNets customers will see a benefit in faster turnaround of orders as well as having all their transactional data available to them via a secure B2B portal.

First Software’s General Manager, Alex Petraska, says a standout feature of the implementation was that the entire process of replacing the legacy ERP system and standalone website was completed in a three month process which was only possible due to both companies commitment to the project’s success. The new system went live on the 1st August with over 80 orders being processed the first day.

SnapperNet and First Software are now exploring how they can being further efficiencies to the business.
