designed to work alongside the requirements with NCEA, by
adding a; new, innovative and practical aspect to the
curriculum designed for young entrepreneurs pursuing a
career in business or commerce.
Through the YES
programme, students are pushed to design, build, and
successfully market a successful product. All business
students are competing in a national competition in an
attempt to win the prestigious award for, the top business
at high school for 2016.
The students product known as,
Shape’n’Bake is a delicious new chocolate chip flavoured

children between the ages of 3 to 10 years.
Once baked,
the cookies are formed into distinctive shapes using the two
unique cookie cutters, included in each pack. The Waitakere
College students have formed a successful relationship with
a local company, Lincoln Bakery, who have helped out the
young company through various business
affairs.
Shape’n’Bake have elected to donate a portion
of their cookie profits to “KidsCan”, so children who
may not have the means still benefit from the product
through the donated
funds.
