12 October 2016
Intergen’s CEO, Simon Bright has been named a finalist in the Business category in this year’s Wellingtonian of the Year awards. Winners will be named at The Wellys awards evening at Te Papa on Thursday 10 November 2016.
Known as The Wellys (www.wellys.co.nz), the Wellingtonian of the Year Awards were started in 1989 to celebrate achievements and contributions across all sectors of the Greater Wellington community. The awards celebrate winners across nine categories: Arts, Business, Community Services, Education, Environment, Government, Science and Technology, Sport and Youth.
Simon Bright says, “It is a real privilege to be a finalist in the Wellingtonian of the Year awards amongst such an accomplished line-up of finalists. At Intergen we are proud to call Wellington our founding home and enjoy being part of the fabric of this vibrant city.”
“It’s an exciting time for us as we look forward to the next chapter in our Wellington journey as we move to our new home in the redeveloped Press Hall at 80 Willis Street in early 2017.
“We look forward to a great night on 10 November celebrating with Wellingtonians from across all the many sectors that contribute to making Wellington the coolest little capital in the world.”
Bright’s Wellingtonian of the Year finalist nomination continues a celebration of Intergen’s ‘Wellington-ness’, with Intergen awarded both the Cyber Gold and Supreme Gold awards at the Wellington Gold Awards in July this year.
