Rothbury gets podium at IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards

Rothbury Insurance Brokers has gained a podium position at the IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards, placing third in its category.

It is the fourth year running Rothbury has been a finalist in the IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces medium to large workplace category (150-399 people) and the first time the company has been recognised in the top three.

Rothbury Executive General Manager HR Christine Barkley says, “It has been great to sustain such high results. Being a finalist for the last four years is a reflection of the commitment of all of our people to making Rothbury such a great place to work.”

IBM Kenexa Best Workplaces is the largest and longest running employee engagement survey in New Zealand and a definitive measure for ‘best employer’ and 'employer of choice'. It provides valuable employee insights to help businesses improve employee engagement and enables participants to create a more successful business.

Rothbury has been participating in the survey for 11 years. It was first named a finalist in 2013 and has progressed from eighth place to third over the last three years. Christine Barkley says, “It’s a great achievement for the business and very exciting to get to this level.”

Over 36,000 employees from 210 organisations, across both private and public sectors, participated in the survey in 2016. Employees provide their perceptions of their workplace on areas such as leadership, development opportunities, involvement and recognition.

The awards were presented at a black tie dinner in Auckland on 3 November.
