Two Taupo Properties Join Heritage Collection


Heritage and CityLife Hotels are delighted to announce the addition of The Reef Resort, Taupo and Anchorage Resort, Taupo to the Heritage Collection.

The Reef Resort, Taupo offers luxurious self-contained accommodation on the great lake’s edge and is currently in the Taupo top three on Trip Advisor. The stylish property presents a wide selection of modern studio rooms, one bedroom suites and two and three bedroom apartments; many with lake views.

Guest facilities include an on-site heated-swimming pool, thermal spa pool, BBQ area and complimentary use of bicycles for guests to enjoy the Taupo lake-side trail that runs past the property. In-room are convenient kitchenette facilities, spa-baths, complimentary fibre Wi-Fi, air conditioning and Sky TV. Full kitchens are available in the apartments for entertaining.

Anchorage Resort, Taupo has also joined the Heritage Collection. This family-friendly property offers convenient self-contained accommodation overlooking Lake Taupo. Well known by many, this property recently had a top-to-toe major refurbishment by new management and is now featuring in the Taupo Top 10 on Trip Advisor.

On offer are studio rooms, plus, one, two and three bedroom suites. All rooms have kitchenette facilities, a patio or balcony, air-conditioning, complimentary fibre Wi-Fi and Sky TV.

Facilities include an extensive heated pool complex with main pool, children’s paddle pool and spa. There are three BBQ areas, a private spa and sauna are also available. Boat ramp access to the lake is across the road. Kayak and board hire is also available nearby.

Both properties are a short drive from central Taupo and close to a vast range of restaurants, cafés and shops, plus, a myriad of recreational options. There are also three Nga Haerenga New Zealand Cycle Trail Great Rides close by and Tongariro National Park is just over one hour’s drive south.

At the time of the addition of the new properties, Heritage Hotel Management also announce a refinement of the Heritage Boutique Collection brand to ‘Heritage Collection.’
