Seminar to Offer Much Needed Advice
Kapiti Coast, Friday 18 November 2016 - First home buyers being pushed out of the market by rising house prices has prompted experts to join together to produce a free first home buyer seminar.
The seminar, hosted by leading mortgage expert Craig Pope of Craig Pope Mortgages and Insurance, will include guest speaker Peter Corin from The Law Connection, and will offer timely advice for getting on the property ladder in the current ‘hot’ market.
Craig Pope says he wanted to offer free advice to the buyers who need it the most right now - first home buyers - and if it’s popular will look to hold more seminars next year.
“More than ever first home buyers need advice - sometimes it’s just knowing the basics of what is required that will make a big difference to getting a mortgage approved. We will aim to explain all the jargon and get people better prepared to understand their own position and plan. They will leave being better prepared and understand what they have to do, when and why.”
The latest statistics from QV have shown all house prices within and around the Wellington area have risen quite substantially since this time last year. Wellington City rising $118,096, while the Kapiti Coast district house prices have risen $71,553, bringing the current average house value on the Kapiti Coast to $458,013.
The seminar will cover invaluable tips and tricks that any first home buyer must know, such as: what the banks are looking for, how to prepare for a mortgage application, the different types of loans on offer, as well as advice on how to structure a mortgage to pay it off faster.
