PRESS RELEASE

Agility CIS Started Their Office in a Dining Room And Now Has Their Name in Lights

Agility CIS started their company in 1998 in a dining room, but has now grown into a global organisation with 140 staff, 5 offices around the world and has recently moved their head office to the ‘Agility CIS Tower’ in Ellerslie, Auckland with their name on the building in lights which can also be spotted from Auckland’s Southern Motorway.

Agility CIS has grown the last year from 85 to 140 staff and had an EBIT growth of 30% to $7 million and their customer base is steady but growing fast (ranging from start-ups to clients with more than 1 million customers).

Agility CIS had initially been set up by Dean Williamson, Iain Stafford and Rob Stevens (as Scimitar Technologies) in 1998 in Dean’s dining room. They were all IT contractors who'd worked together in the past and were looking for a way to take on bigger projects. Setting up as a software development company, after implementing their software in a number of diverse industries, they decided to focus on the utility sector, which turned out to be a great success.
