Young Dunedin consultancy firm joins government consultancy panel
An exciting young Dunedin-based company, Avid Plus, has won a coveted place on the directory of approved providers of consultancy services for government departments and agencies.
Any participating government department or agency that requires in scope consultancy services must choose a provider from the All-of-Government Consultancy Services Online Panel Directory.
Through a tender for a potential total of more than $200 million of work, Avid Plus won a place in four of the Directory’s consultancy categories: Business Change, Human Resource, Operations and Risk Management, and Policy, Research and Development.
“We are delighted to have been selected, especially as we are still such a young business,” says Avid Plus Health and Safety Specialist, Robyn Bennett. “It’s exciting to see our hard work, expertise and dedication recognised and rewarded by the government.”
Avid Plus is just 18-months old and specialises in health and safety, human resource, quality, and management/leadership consultancy. It has a team of about a dozen members and its specialists have more than 150 years’ experience between them.
Ms Bennett believes Avid Plus’s innovative business model is a key factor to its success.
“We’re a collegial collective of independent contractors who have joined together to share resources and skills, enable professional development opportunities and provide peer review,” she says. “We’ve handpicked our team to ensure we have all the right qualifications and skills to meet the varied needs of businesses and organisations in New Zealand.”
Avid Plus works with a wide range of workplaces throughout the country, including construction sites, schools, rest homes and retail outlets. In addition to general consultancy, Avid Plus also provides mentoring, management, training and auditing services.
“We’re absolutely dedicated to providing strategic, pragmatic solutions and advice to boost organisational performance,” Ms Bennett says.
