Tennis Sensation Jack Sock Presents signed Gold Leaf Moët & Chandon Jeroboam to Local Tennis Club

Tennis star and ASB Classic top seed Jack Sock umpired an exhibition match this afternoon which saw two Auckland tennis clubs take to the court for the chance to win a gold leaf Moët & Chandon Jeroboam for the winning team’s club.

Mark Osbourne from West End Tennis Club played a competitive game of singles against Club president Geoff Hosking from Gladstone Tennis Club that had Jack Sock making several tough calls as they battled to take out first place.

Jack declared West End Tennis Club the winning team before presenting them the gold leaf Moët & Chandon Jeroboam worth $20,000 that will be put up for auction to help raise funds for the club.

“We were so grateful to have Jack make the time to come and umpire this exhibition match before his big week ahead. What started as a friendly match, quickly turned competitive between the two clubs, which was a lot of fun. It was a pleasure for us to be involved today and we thank both Jack and Moët & Chandon for showing us their support” says Mark Osbourne, member of West End Tennis Club.

As a sponsor of the ASB Classic, Moët & Chandon were excited to have the opportunity to do something special for the local tennis community. West End Tennis Club will use the funds raised to go towards stage two of the clubroom rebuild something they’ve been wanting to do for some time.

“We wanted to not only help raise funds for an Auckland tennis organisation, but to also help raise the profile of the sport and celebrate success on a more local level. We were thrilled to be able to show them our support on this occasion, and of course have Jack umpire the match! Jack famously corrected an umpire on a call during the Hopman Cup in Perth this time last year so was the perfect person for the job” says Moët & Chandon Senior Brand Manager, Ali Campbell.

The gold leaf Moët & Chandon Jeroboam now has over 20 signatures, with the likes of Jack Sock, Karen Khachanov and kiwi Finn Tearney having signed it during the 2017 ASB Classic.
