Opportunity for Young Professionals
The Grand Millennium Young Leaders in Business Forum is taking place at the Grand Millennium Auckland Hotel on the 11 th to 12 th March 2017. Organised by JCI New Zealand, a community of people aged 18 to 40 years old who are passionate about creating lasting positive change, the forum aims to equip current and future business leaders with the tools and mindsets that can help them be future-fit.
Speakers at the forum includes Justine Smith (Chief Advisor to the Deputy Mayor of Auckland), Gary Walker (CEO of the Hawkins Group), Jillian De Beer (COLAB at AUT University) and more. The topics discussed at the forum are all important issues that current and young professionals can relate to and are concerned with. Jillian De Beer, for instance, will be talking about what the anti-establishment sentiment and the disruptive process of the shared economy will mean for future business leaders. In addition to the lecture-style talks, delegates will also have the opportunity to work together and learn from each other by participating in team activities and a case study.
“The forum is designed to be more intimate so you can connect to the speakers, get mentored by them over the two days, but also take that relationship beyond the forum itself,” says JCI New Zealand National President, Rebekah Craig. “As young people, that’s what’s most important to us. Connections that can help us get ahead in our career as well as connecting to our peers that are like-minded and share our values.”
The agenda and the full list of speakers for the Grand Millennium Young Leaders in Business Forum are on JCI New Zealand website, https://www.jcinz.co.nz. Delegates have a choice of whether they want to attend for one or both days and the tickets are available to be purchased from the website.
