Professional director and investor Rob Campbell is to be appointed Chair of WEL Networks Ltd.

The announcement was made today by WEL Energy Trust chair, Mark Ingle. WEL Energy Trust is responsible for appointing all directors to the WEL Networks Ltd board.

Ingle said Campbell’s appointment was made after a nationwide search.

Campbell chairs two other boards; Summerset Group Holdings Ltd and Tourism Holdings Ltd. He is a board member of T&G Global Ltd and Precinct Properties Ltd plus holds a number of advisory board positions.

Campbell will replace current WEL Networks chair Margaret Devlin who will retire from the WEL Board at the company’s annual general meeting in June. Devlin has chaired the company since October 2014 and joined the board in 2007.

“Margaret very ably led the company through a period of considerable change and growth as it expanded from a lines business into a complex infrastructure company with a major investment in ultra-fast fibre,” Ingle said.
