A new cultural heaven for Wellington
Wellington, April 24 2017
Press release: A new cultural heaven for Wellington
X-bookstore & Music Lounge is an extremely well curated bookshop / record store with a "living area" comprising a couple of couches and a few musical instruments. It opened its doors last December in the Cuba Street area.
Filled with quality second hand books from all over the world and priceless vintage records, it delights its visitors with the variety of cultural features it offers.
What a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than sitting in a sofa reading a good book, listening to original music or having a chat with the shop owner, Jorge, who is tireless at talking about the books, writers, composers, music and movies he loves and knows so much about.
When Jorge set up this space, he had the vision that he would be the only place in Wellington that at the same time sells books and records and promotes local talents through the organisation of regular events including concerts, jams, poetry, and other live performances.
Now the dream is a reality and the bookstore is fast becoming one of Wellington finest musicians’ preferred venue.
X-bookstore is planning to expand its service line and will start to offer takeaway coffees and muffins in the coming months! Watch this space and don’t miss an opportunity to pay a visit!
X-Bookstore is located on 66 Dixon Street and is opened everyday from 10am to 5pm.
His website is www.facebook.com/Xbooksandmusic/
