Briscoe posts improved third-quarter sales
Homeware and sporting goods retailer Briscoe
Group has posted third quarter sales of $129.0 million,
2.72% above the $125.6 million reported for the same quarter
last year. Homeware sales increased by 2.48% to $81.0
million, while sporting goods sales were $47.9 million, an
increase of 3.11% from the $46.5 million achieved for the
equivalent quarter last year.
Group Managing Director Rod Duke said: “We are pleased with the Group’s performance across this third quarter in a market which continues to be highly competitive. We are especially pleased with the sales growth achieved during October
“With a strong employment market, low rates of unemployment and strengthening rural incomes there are a number of positive economic indicators, which bode well for retailers leading into the Christmas period.”
