Strong Base of Business Enterprise in the Wellington Region – Recognised at 2017 Business Awards

Metco Engineering Limited was named supreme business award winner at the Wellington Region Business Excellence Awards held at Expressions Art & Entertainment Centre, Friday 3 November.

Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s President Mr Neville Hyde says hosting these annual awards is always a pleasure and gives light to the show casing of many of the unique businesses throughout the region. “The standard was very high across all categories which included a number of special awards among them a Mayoral Award given by Hutt Valley Mayors Guppy and Wallace, which went to Brendan Foot Supersite.

Mr Hyde says he was very pleased with the standard of the entries this year and “is a great opportunity to encourage and acknowledge business excellence across the Wellington region to further stimulate economic growth, the participating businesses are great examples of the talent we have, coupled with the drive and enthusiasm that is alive and well throughout the Wellington Regions business culture and community,” he says.

The awards were presented at a black tie dinner held at Expressions attended by businesses through to community leaders with both Local and Central Government well represented. Key note speaker Chief Executive of the New Zealand Racing Board, John Allen presented the Supreme Award on the night.
