STAAH Partners with Valoot to Offer WeChat Pay to Its Clients

The integration will allow properties on its network to welcome more Chinese consumers who widely use WeChat Pay for their online transactions.

Auckland, Thursday 25 Jan 18: A leading cloud-based hospitality distribution technology specialist, STAAH is taking its reach further by integrating the most popular and preferred choice of payment for Chinese travellers, WeChat Pay, via Valoot’s gateway services.

Hotels from around the world that use STAAH's suite of products can now use Valoot to start accepting WeChat Pay for bookings. Valoot can also help the hotels and properties with creating official WeChat accounts in order to increase their visibility in China and ultimately increase bookings from Chinese travellers. WeChat Pay is by far the most prominent payment gateway in the region, used by more than one billion Chinese consumers.

“Partnering with Valoot to accept WeChat Pay in multiple payment scenarios allows our client properties to provide an integral and seamless payment experience that Chinese consumers are familiar and comfortable with,” says Gavin Jeddo, founding director of STAAH Limited. “We have always put our clients first and as many of them look to expand in the Chinese market, this integration is important.”

Valoot is a Hong Kong-based financial technology company whose solutions also include multi currency pricing at point of sale. It is one of the best gateways for WeChat Pay and Alipay, with a global geographical reach achieved by forging strategic alliances with financial institutions worldwide. It was the first to bring WeChat Pay to the United Kingdom and continues to spread its network at a fast pace.
