Milk collection information update

Milk Collection will be operational in the following areas in the timeframe indicated below

· South of Mount Hercules to Whataroa tonight.

· In the north collection will be extended to Mai Mai, south of the Reefton Saddle tonight.

· Milk will be collected north of the Reefton Saddle to New Creek from Saturday.

· Collection will be extended to Westport and Karamea on Sunday.

Franz Josef and Fox Glacier are still unable to be collected at this stage.

Hokitika factory still only on partial electricity but the lines company’s latest advice is that power will be restored fully tomorrow morning. Production is estimated to begin approximately 24 hours after power is fully restored. Our focus now is to get milk to Hokitika in time for when processing is fully restored.
