Excellent recovery from CentrePort augers well for future
Greater Wellington Chair Chris Laidlaw has welcomed CentrePort’s half year result, which was announced today, describing the result as remarkably encouraging after the significant damage done to the port installations and related building by the November 2017 Kaikoura earthquake.
“CentrePort is now almost back to full operational capacity and the staff have worked wonders in achieving that. The port is a key strategic asset for Greater Wellington and as the major shareholder we will work collaboratively with the port and other stakeholders in the post-earthquake era to unlock more opportunities to add value to the city and the wider region.”
