IWC Trophy for best wine in the Wairarapa!

The IWC Trophy’s for 2018 have been announced and our Holly Pinot Noir 2016 has been awarded the trophy for best wine in our region, Wairarapa! Winemaker Miles Dinneen says “We are so pleased with the result and knew that this was a special wine from a great vintage. It’s great to see that recognized.”

“Bold and bright, juicy, dark fruit. Blueberry, plum and blackberry. Well-structured and balanced.”

And trying to out do the Holly award is our rockstar winemaker Miles, who has taken out the trophy for best Syrah in the world! How good is that? Beating all the Australian Shriz. This was from his former life as winemaker for Crossroads.
Lucky we are adding Syrah to the portfolio this year!

Our 2018 wines are coming along nicely, with great colour in the reds and the whites are showing fantastic flavour bombs! We can’t wait to get these into bottle and out to the market soon.
