DryNZ clinches major international export order

DryNZ, a start-up wholesale freshly dried fruit and vegetable business has won a major international export order, supplying dried fruit for an international company based in Europe.

DryNZ Managing Director Anne Gibson says the deal is a major coup for the Waiuku based business, situated adjacent to the Pukekohe food-bowl supplying apple, peach, blackcurrant, kiwifruit and lemon dried food pieces.

Mrs Gibson says the company has worked hard to adhere to the quality assurance export criteria to supply the fruit pieces that are used.

“We are really thrilled by this deal and the first shipment has arrived in the Europe, with the second shipment bound for Europe this month,” she said.

DryNZ is a freeze dried alternative and uses technologically advanced drier capabilities which are patented.

“The technology allows us to keep the product as natural as possible ensuring flavour and bioactivity providing a unique alternative to products available in the NZ marketplace.” said Mrs Gibson.

DryNZ sources produce from New Zealand’s best heartland growers, supporting kiwi vegetables, fruit and flower growers.

“We started from humble beginnings and our team is dedicated to providing quality wholesale products which go into national and international orders for smoothies, teas, cereal bars, adventure meals and natural energy drinks,” said Mrs Gibson.

DryNZ has a wide variety of fruit and vegetable powders, pieces and slices on offer ranging from ‘in season’ fruit like strawberries, apples & kiwifruit through to pumpkin, kumara and olives. It also sources turmeric and pineapple from Fiji.

With another export order in the offing, DryNZ is now expanding premises in the Waiuku Business Park and will be developing more state-of-the-art innovative vacuum dehydration drying processes.
