Liberty International Tourism Group hits the Pacific

18 February 2019

The world’s largest independent destination management company has announced its launch into the Pacific today, fittingly on the first day of AIME 2019.

Liberty International Tourism Group will be the first multinational destination management company to invest in Australia and New Zealand, opening offices in Sydney, Perth and Auckland.

Mario Enzesberger, President and CEO, Liberty International Tourism Group says there is an increasing demand for on the ground services.

“It was simply a matter of time. Australia and New Zealand have both seen business from Liberty over the years, but there is a such a strong demand for tourism that we had no option. Expanding to these new locations will enable us to provide on-ground services, to better co-ordinate and cater for groups travelling to both of these sought-after destinations.”

Appointed to manage the latest venture is Eugene De Villiers. Eugene is highly regarded within the travel and incentive industries both in New Zealand, Australia and internationally, with three decades of strategic hospitality and event management experience.

Mario Enzesberger is delighted to announce the appointment of Eugene De Villiers; “Eugene is passionate about selling ‘down-under’ and we believe that his valued experience in the industry, as well as proven leadership, will be beneficial in guiding our newest Liberty offices to become market leaders.”

Eugene De Villiers says; “I am thrilled to be jumping on board as Chief Executive Officer for Liberty International Australia and New Zealand. Both sides of the Tasman deserve global recognition as travel and incentive destinations, and I look forward to launching the integrity and reliability of Liberty’s services here.”

With the launch into Australia and New Zealand, Liberty International Tourism Group now has offices in over 80 countries worldwide.
