Finalists Announced For The ExportNZ ASB Wellington Export Awards 2022
ExportNZ is proud to announce the finalists for this year’s ExportNZ ASB Wellington Export Awards.
The Export Awards are the jewel in the crown of the export calendar. The awards showcase the dedication of Wellington exporters and how their work helps to build and support the brand of Aotearoa outside our borders.
"The Export Awards are the perfect way to highlight the amazing mahi of our local exporters. It’s been another challenging year, so to come together in person to celebrate the Wellington export community is a big achievement" said Amanda Liddle, Regional Manager Hawke’s Bay and Wellington.
There are eight finalists across six categories representing exporters across the Wellington region. Taking home an award is a humbling experience and helps inspire others in the industry.
"We were humbled by the experience of winning the ‘Excellence in Innovation’ award and ‘Exporter of the Year 2019’. It’s great to showcase that it’s achievable to take Wellington to the world. I want other local entrepreneurs to know that success is within their reach, and by entering these awards you’re helping to inspire others" said Elizabeth Barbalich, CEO and Founder of Antipodes.
James Ardern, CEO of Whittaker’s Chocolate, spoke of what it meant to become last year’s Exporter of the Year. "Our team was buzzing after winning the award. As a family-owned business from Porirua, we’ve been steadily increasing our exports and accelerating our growth, so it was very humbling for the team to be acknowledged with such an esteemed award. Good luck to the finalists this year!"
Winners of the 2022 Export Awards will be announced at a Gala Dinner held at Te Papa on August 4. Tickets on sale now and available here.
