Peugeot Pips Rivals For Top-selling EV
Peugeot’s E-208 was the top selling EV model in New Zealand last month, overtaking its higher profile competitors like the Polestar 2 and Kia EV6.
Peugeot Marketing Manager Noah Robertson says Kiwis might be surprised but we’re not.
“We’re thrilled to see the E-208 top the sales list in July. It’s clearly an outstanding car having won the 2021 Car of the Year award for the Clean & Green BEV category. Kudos to our dealer network for getting this model in front of Kiwis – and perhaps our other more well-known competitors - as they look to enter the EV market.”
The E-208 (with a range of 382km with a fully charged battery) embodies the mobility revolution and packs a ‘style’ punch to boot. Good times are on repeat with this stimulating drive courtesy of its 100% electric engine.
The E-208 is available from just $63,990 + ORC but its eligibility for the full Clean Car rebate of $8,625 takes the net price to $55,365.
For the first time in more than 15 years, Peugeot also featured in the top 10 best-selling brands in New Zealand this year.
