“Over the past two years, many businesses have selflessly shared their resources to support the Pacific community during Covid in its time of great need. We felt it was important to recognise these inspiring leaders with a special award and have created the Arataki Award for Leadership in the Pacific Community. We look forward to receiving nominations for this award.”

Entries and nominations for the business awards can be made online at www.pacificbusinessawards.co.nz. There is no charge to enter. Entries close at midnight on Friday, 9 September 2022.

Award winners will be announced at a special Awards Gala Dinner on Friday, 11 November, at the Vodafone Event Centre in Manukau, Auckland. The awards theme is a Samoan phrase, autasi e fuata’i se moemoe fou, which means gather together to inspire new beginnings.

Looking ahead to the ceremony in November Retimanu says, “We look forward to our business aiga being able to reconnect in person again at the Pacific Business Awards. It will be a special evening of celebration, announcing the award winners, hearing their inspiring stories and enjoying a vibrant Pasifika night.”

Tickets to attend the Awards Gala Dinner can be purchased now at Eventfinda.
