Porirua Powerball Player Wins $17.2 Million

A lucky Powerball player from Porirua will be celebrating a life-changing win after winning $17.2 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at New World Whitby in Porirua.

The prize is made up of $17 million from Powerball First Division and $200,000 from Lotto First Division.

Tonight’s winner is ninth Powerball multi-millionaire this year, and the win comes just a month after $23.3 million was won on MyLotto. The winners celebrated with fish and chips at the beach and say the win is life-changing for their family.

Four other lucky Lotto players will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw. The winning tickets were sold at Hobsonville Superette in Auckland, New World Broadway in Palmerston North, Ballance Street Bookshop in Gisborne and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

Meanwhile, Strike Four has rolled over tonight and will be $400,000 on Saturday night.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLottoApp.
