The Warehouse Group Appoints Chief Digital & Transformation Officer
The Warehouse Group has appointed Shayne Tong as Chief Digital & Transformation Officer effective from 28 August 2025.
This newly created executive role will enable the Group to accelerate its transformation ambitions by leveraging technology investments and lowering operating costs to improve competitiveness and enhancecustomer experience.
Incoming Group Chief Executive Officer, Mark Stirton said, “We’re pleased to welcome Shayne to the team. He brings deep digital strategy and transformation leadership, both essential skills we require to unlock value from our operating model.”
Mr. Tong was Chief Digital Officer at Foodstuffs South Island. He has held senior technology leadership roles at Auckland District Health Board, Genesis Energy, Fletcher Building, and major international banks including ANZ, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and Barclays Capital.
Mr. Tong said, “It’s an exciting time to join The Warehouse Group. The foundations are in place, and I look forward to accelerating progress by modernising systems to help our teams deliver more effectively.”
