PSA: KFC Has Just Dropped A Halloween Costume
The Colonel Hacker Is The Ultimate Trick Or Treat Disguise
The Colonel Hacker is back – and this time he’s hacked Halloween! Continuing his mission to bring Kiwis the best value and surprises, the mysterious master of deals is adding a new trick to his repertoire.

Hot off the success of The Big Hack - KFC’s biggest burger yet – the Colonel Hacker has turned his attention to costumes, dropping the ultimate disguise just in time for the spooky season.
From 9am, on Tuesday 21st October, Kiwis can head to KFC For Good to get their hands on the limited-edition Colonel Hacker costume, featuring a hoodie and mask combo that’ll have you slipping into stealth mode faster than a late-night Wicked Wing run.
Priced at $49.99, all proceeds will go directly to Surf Life Saving New Zealand, KFC’s long-standing charity partner. Funds raised will help support their lifesaving work, keeping Kiwis safer on our beaches all summer long.
You’ll have to be quick to grab one, though! The Colonel Hacker costume stock is strictly limited, and once the costumes are gone, they’re gone for good.
KFC Marketing Director, Leanne Too, said: “The Colonel Hacker continues his quest to bring Kiwis the best value and surprises, and this Halloween drop is no exception. Not only can fans score an epic costume, that’s perfect for trick or treating, but every purchase also helps Surf Life Saving New Zealand continue their incredible work in our communities”.
She adds, “It’s a value deal from the Colonel Hacker that looks good, feels good and does good”.
The Halloween costume is just one of several Colonel Hacks initiatives rolling out between now and December 1, 2025, as KFC continues to bring Kiwis more everyday value with a side of fun.
About KFC New Zealand:
KFC is a global chicken restaurant brand with a rich, decades-long history of success and innovation. It all started with one cook, Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a finger-lickin' good recipe more than 75 years ago—a list of 11 secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of his kitchen door. Today, we still follow his formula for success, with real cooks breading and freshly preparing our delicious chicken by hand in more than 27,000 restaurants in over 145 countries and territories around the world. KFC was the first International quick service brand to open in New Zealand in 1971; the brand has now expanded to over 120 stores nationwide. For more information, please visit www.kfc.co.nz
