KFC Launches Trick And Treat Burgers Bringing The Heat And The Sweet This Halloween
This Halloween, KFC has turned up the heat and the sweet with the launch of two new Halloween-inspired burgers.
Created especially for the spooky season and available for one frightfully good weekend only, Kiwis can try the KFC Trick Burger and KFC Treat Burger. These limited-edition burgers are all about choosing a side - will you be tempted by heat or sweet?

The Trick Burger turns up the spice, packing a punch with a fiery Zinger fillet, fresh lettuce and lashings of spicy Korean mayo, all tucked inside a Halloween-inspired bun. It’s a burger with a bite of heat, perfect for those who like to live on the edge.
The Treat Burger takes indulgence to haunting new heights, featuring a Secret Recipe fillet, fresh lettuce, a drizzle of chocolate sauce and even a cookie, stacked inside that same spooky bun. It’s a little weird, a lot wonderful, and the ultimate sweet meets savoury indulgence, for those craving something a little extra.
KFC Marketing Director, Leanne Too, said, “Halloween’s the time of year you can expect the unexpected, and these burgers deliver exactly that. The Trick Burger is made for those who can handle the heat, while the Treat Burger is for Kiwis who dare to try something delightfully different”.

The Trick and Treat Burgers are part of the Colonel’s Hacks initiatives, offering limited-time new menu items and deals, and giving Kiwis more ways to enjoy their favourite fried chicken.
Available nationwide in stores, drive-thrus and on delivery from Friday 31st October, but only while stocks last, these burgers will disappear faster than your Halloween lolly stash!
So, Aotearoa, will it be a Trick or a Treat this Halloween? Or both?
About KFC New Zealand
KFC is a global chicken restaurant brand with a rich, decades-long history of success and innovation. It all started with one cook, Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a finger-lickin' good recipe more than 75 years ago—a list of 11 secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of his kitchen door. Today, we still follow his formula for success, with real cooks breading and freshly preparing our delicious chicken by hand in more than 27,000 restaurants in over 145 countries and territories around the world. KFC was the first International quick service brand to open in New Zealand in 1971; the brand has now expanded to over 120 stores nationwide. For more information, please visit www.kfc.co.nz
