Transpower Appoints Louise Griffin As Executive General Manager External Affairs
Transpower today announced the appointment of Louise Griffin as its new Executive General Manager External Affairs.
Louise is currently General Manager, Corporate Affairs at ASB, where she has been since 2020. Prior to that she has held a variety of roles in the electricity sector, including Group Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations at Genesis Energy and Head of External Affairs at Contact Energy.

Louise has extensive sector experience and her most recent experience in the banking industry will help us to navigate an increasingly consumer and public facing environment as we enable the growth and electrification of New Zealand. Louise takes up her new role on 2 March 2026. Diana Price will remain Acting EGM External Affairs until that time.
The role of EGM External Affairs is accountable for leading the Stakeholder Engagement, Corporate Communications, Landowner Relations & Property, Iwi & Community Relations, Sustainability and Environmental Policy and Planning functions. Responsibility for our customer team now sits with the Chief Financial Officer.
