Petdirect’s Head of Marketing and Customer, Taylor Jones, says the Christmas offering reflects the way pets have become firmly embedded in Kiwi holiday traditions.

“Our last Petdirect Census showed that among the people who dress up their pets, a quarter do it specifically for Christmas. That tells us just how much pets are part of the celebrations now. This year’s Christmas offering is designed to match that joy and help customers find something fun, thoughtful, and stress free for their pets,” says Jones.

The Christmas Gift Shop offers tailored options for both dog and cat owners, with toys that sleigh, festive treats, clever enrichment ideas, and gifting options for pets of every age and personality.

To support pet parents throughout the season, Petdirect has also released helpful Christmas themed blogs. These cover topics such as holiday safety, travelling with pets, calming tips during busy gatherings, and advice on how to keep animals happy and comfortable throughout December.

Customers can continue to enjoy Petdirect’s value offers across the Christmas period. Shoppers earn Airpoints Dollars on every purchase, can take advantage of Autodeliver savings, and receive fast nationwide delivery to ensure gifts arrive in plenty of time.

This year Petdirect is also sharing the spirit of giving in stores. All Petdirect stores are hosting an SPCA Giving Tree, where customers can purchase a decorative bauble and place it on the tree. One hundred percent of proceeds go directly to the SPCA to support animals in need across New Zealand.

“The Giving Tree is a meaningful way for people to add generosity to their Christmas shopping. It is a simple moment that makes a real difference for animals who need care and support,” says Jones.

Petdirect’s full Christmas offering is live now at petdirect.co.nz and available in store, with the SPCA Giving Tree running throughout the festive season.
