CarExpert New Zealand’s New Editorial Hires Ahead Of Launch

With CarExpert New Zealand launching locally next month, two new editorial appointments mark the first step in building a dedicated New Zealand team to deliver trusted, independent, new-car coverage for Kiwi drivers.

Locals Matthew Hansen and Dave Kavermann will join CarExpert’s on-the-ground editorial operation, bringing their extensive local motoring and editorial experience to the brand and focusing on high-quality new-car reviews, comparisons and buying guidance tailored specifically for the New Zealand market.

CarExpert New Zealand (a joint venture between Trade Me and CarExpert) will help Kiwi buyers cut through complexity by providing clear, practical advice across every stage of the new-car buying journey. Audiences can expect independent reviews, engaging videos and market insights distributed across CarExpert.co.nz.

“These appointments set the tone for the kind of leading automotive journalism that CarExpert New Zealand will stand for,” said CarExpert’s CEO, Damon Rielly.

“Local knowledge, editorial independence, and a genuine commitment to helping people buy the right car, without the run-around.”
