Foundation North Welcomes New Trustees

Foundation North, the community trust for Tāmaki Makaurau and Tai Tokerau, is delighted to welcome four newly appointed Trustees to its board. The confirmed appointments, as delegated to the Associate Minister of Finance, are:

• Natalie Bridges - with a background in journalism and PR, Natalie founded Blink Public Relations. She has served as a trustee on Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust (TECT) and is currently completing a degree in Fine Arts.

• Martin Cleave (Ngātiwai, Te Rarawa, Tainui) – has served the media sector for over 30 years. He is director of 2B Media and serves on various boards.

• Philip Crump – an accomplished lawyer, Philip serves on the Board of NZ On Air and was appointed to the Waitangi Tribunal last year.

• Aryana Nafissi – a barrister and solicitor, Aryana is a Tax Advisor at the NZ Super Fund and serves on the Young Finance Professionals Board of INFINZ.

Trustee Fiugalu Tevita Funaki has been appointed for a second term on the Foundation’s board.

In welcoming the new Trustees at their pōwhiri on Monday, Board Chair, Michelle Tsui said, “All Trustees bring their skills and experience to the Foundation in service to our communities, and it is a pleasure to have Aryana, Martin, Natalie and Philip join our organisation. We look forward to the contributions they will make to all aspects of our governance activities in pursuit of our vision of enhanced lives.”

She also paid tribute to those Trustees whose terms have ended – Sara-Jane Elika, Hana Maihi and Stephen Park. “We acknowledge and thank our departing Trustees for your diligence and valued contribution during your time around our board table. Your perspectives and insights have added richness to our kōrero and decision-making as we navigate together with our priority communities, partners and other stakeholders. Ngā mihi maioha ki a koutou.”
