+IMPAC Launches Integrated Health & Safety Hub In Hamilton To Support HighRisk Industries Across The Waikato

Health and safety specialist +IMPAC has opened a new integrated hub in Hamilton, bringing together Fortus Safety, Safeworx, +IMPAC training and advisory services under one roof to better support highrisk industries across the Waikato.

From construction and manufacturing to transport, agriculture and infrastructure, thousands of Waikato workers operate in environments where the margin for error is small. Yet for some organisations, health and safety is still treated as a compliance exercise – a set of forms, policies and audits to keep regulators satisfied.

+IMPAC’s new Hamilton hub is designed to help change that.

“Safety is not a box to be ticked – it’s a way of thinking and operating that has to be lived every day,” said Logan Aves, Managing Director +IMPAC Group. “By bringing practical advice, targeted training and the right gear together in one place, we’re making it easier for Waikato businesses to keep their people genuinely safe, not just compliant.”

All-in-one support for construction and other highrisk sectors

The new Hamilton site combines four capabilities under one roof:

Fortus Safety – A hands-on PPE and workwear retail experience where customers can speak directly with specialists who understand real-world risks and can match gear to specific tasks, sites and environments.

Safeworx – Access to specialist PPE and workwear backed by a deeper understanding of what “good” looks like in different industries, including high-risk ones like utilities, civil, primary industries and energy.

Training – Courses and programmes that move beyond theory, building the competence and confidence workers and leaders need to make better decisions under pressure.

Advisory – Experienced health and safety consultants who can support organisations with risk assessments, system reviews, critical risk management, contractor management, governance and safety culture.

In the current tight economic climate, it can be tempting for organisations to view health and safety as just another cost centre to trim. But the real cost of getting it wrong is borne in people’s lives and long-term injuries, as well as reputational damage and lost productivity when something goes wrong.

For health and safety managers, construction project leads, operational leaders and executives, the Hamilton hub offers local support, so they can make sure their people go home safe every day.

· Facetoface support from consultants and trainers who understand Waikato industries and their pressures.

· Faster access to specialist advice when a second pair of eyes is needed on a complex risk, incident or major project.

· One integrated destination for advisory, training, PPE and safety equipment, simplifying procurement and ensuring everything works together on site.

· A partner who can speak to both the boardroom and the frontline, helping bridge the gap between strategy, paperwork and daytoday practice.

Supporting a safer Waikato

+IMPAC has worked with New Zealand businesses for over 25 years to help them move beyond minimum compliance towards meaningful, embedded safety practice. The Hamilton expansion is a continuation of that mission in one of the country’s most diverse and productive regions.

“Construction, infrastructure and other highrisk sectors in the Waikato are growing and changing fast,” Aves added. “They deserve easy access to expert advice, highquality PPE and training that reflects realworld conditions. That’s what our Hamilton hub is here to provide.”
