Generate Achieves Top Performance More Than 90% Of The Time
The latest quarterly Morningstar KiwiSaver 360 report once again validates Generate’s track record of delivering consistently strong long-term returns for its members.
For the past 12 quarters (since June 2023), Generate’s three original KiwiSaver funds (Moderate, Growth and Focused Growth) have ranked in the top 3 of their respective categories for 10-year returns more than 90% of the time since becoming eligible.
What’s more, Generate's Focused Growth fund has always maintained a top 3 ranking in the Multisector aggressive category for 10-year returns, every quarter since becoming eligible.
As with all growth-oriented investments, returns can fluctuate and periods of negative performance can occur, particularly over the short term.
While many KiwiSaver providers dip in and out of the rankings, Generate has steadily remained on the podium over the long term.
This level of consistency is difficult to achieve, and is what ultimately makes the biggest impact for long-term investors – it’s a testament to the skill and dedication of Generate’s active investment team.
Latest highlight
The Generate Focused Growth Fund ranked second for 10-year returns to 31 March 2026, when compared with other aggressive funds.
This strong long-term performance not only supports better outcomes for KiwiSaver members but also underpins the strong levels of trust New Zealanders place in Generate.
The most recent recognition of this is Generate’s 2026 Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Award (Specialist KiwiSaver Provider). In the research, customers highlighted strong returns, professional service and clear communication as key reasons they trust Generate.
These awards are based on independent research of everyday New Zealanders aged 18+, rating brands on trust across a wide range of categories.
Just like its fund performance, Generate’s recognition is consistent year after year, with a track record of multiple awards. This now includes four consecutive Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards, four consecutive Consumer NZ People’s Choice Awards and two Reader’s Digest Quality Service Awards.
Generate’s strong reputation with Kiwis has recently seen it achieve two new milestones – as at March 31 2026, it has more than $9 billion funds under management and more than 190,000 KiwiSaver members.
