Trouble presents 'THE GIRL WHO DIED'

Trouble are retro-ing their '96 black comedy classic 'THE GIRL WHO DIED'. The season is strictly limited to four nights only, and we expect it to be a pretty hot ticket.

'THE GIRL WHO DIED' is a cut-up, dreamlike, and extremely bloody view of the time it takes for it's protagonist to bleed to death. "It's slick, innovative, pacey, at times sickening, and completely beyond logic. IT IS FANTASTIC" (Mark Amery - Capital Times) With hindsight it's the closest Trouble have ever been to living up to their "punk/cult/theatre phenomenon" reputation.

The show first played in the International Comedy Festival in 1996, and was an instant hit with the critics. Under the Headline "WELLINGTON'S BEST NOTHING BUT TROUBLE" the Evening Post pronounced the show "Slick, sexy, smart, nasty and black, black, black... BRILLIANT" Trouble of course went on to make it's more serious pieces Black Monk, Mouth and The Lead Wait, which it won "Chapman Tripp Awards" for. And to it's infamous four year collaboration with "the Scottish theatre company who had worked with Irvine Welsh." The Bleach project, presented with Edinburgh's boilerhouse, wound up last year with stunning reviews at the Edinburgh Festival, and with a very special presentation in Glasgow - underneath a motorway junction.

All in all this piece of Trouble "rare groove" is a one off tasting from the wild and irreverant early years.
