Dick and Farda gonna rock you!

UK sound system Rockers Hi Fi (aka DJ Dick and Farda P, above) arrive in NZ this weekend from Australia for their Dubarama shows – which look set to sell out.
Event producers Basstech advise that “based on current figures, Wellington is going to sell out in advance, while Auckland will be a near-capacity crowd on the night. Given that the venue size in Auckland is five times greater, that is no mean feat.”
The Birmingham dubsters have a solid fan base here resulting from their excellent albums and previous live shows. The Wellington show on Friday at StudioNine is limited to 450 tickets; the Auckland show is on Saturday at the St James. Both will feature an array of local dub`n bass deck technicians in support.
Basstech emphasises the value nature of the shows ($35), calling them “accessible, enjoyable, affordable... don`t be the one stuck outside the club without a ticket and having to hear about the whole thing the next day – doh!”
Rockers Hi Fi will be interviewed and present a live DJ session on Radio Active 89FM during the Grace Friday Night Flava, 7-9pm.
