Bledisloe Cup Full Day Special Live On Sky
SKY announced today that over thirteen hours of “rugby indulgence” will screen between 6.00am and 7.30pm on Bledisloe Cup Day, Saturday 11 August 2001.
SKY’s Stu Wilson and Australian sports media commentator and former Wallaby, Peter FitzSimmons will host the show, which will screen on SKY Digital’s Sport Extra channel.
Stu and Peter will attempt to capture the flavour of the Bledisloe Cup, following a group of “Scarfies” as they make their way to Carisbrook.
Kevin Cameron, SKY Television Director of Sport said “ this broadcast will take rugby fans down memory lane with some of the great All Black versus Australia games including the classic 1994 and 1995 Tests from Sydney, the 1996 Test at Athletic Park, arguably one of the greatest All Black performances, and culminating in Homebush 2000, one of the best games of rugby ever broadcast”
The game itself will be shown live on SKY Sport with the added bonus of a choice of commentaries in either Maori or English and live statistics available on SKY Digital.
