New Head Of Production And Sport Appointed
TVNZ Chief Executive Rick Ellis today announced the appointment of Denis Harvey in the newly created role of Head of Production and Sport.
"Effective 1 November, Denis who is currently Head of Sport, will report directly to me and join the senior executive team. Denis will have responsibility for Sports, Lifestyle, Avalon, Archives, Maori Programmes, and Moving Pictures.
"I have prioritised this appointment given that the company has some significant events coming up, including the implementation of the Charter, the Winter Olympics, Commonwealth Games and the America's Cup. It is crucial that someone of Denis' calibre and experience be involved in the strategic planning of these events in order to optimise our production resource.
"Denis' vast experience, together with the valued relationships he has built within the company and with external organisations and suppliers makes him an ideal candidate for this newly created position," said Mr Ellis.
