September 11 Memorial Service- Christchurch Cathedral
Kevin Carlin, an American born businessman & composer, who has lived in New Zealand for the past 10 years, will play a musical tribute inspired by the September 11 terrorist attacks as part of a special 7.30am commemoration in the Christchurch Cathedral on September 11.
"Memorial" was composed by Carlin the day after 11 September. He sat at his piano contemplating the mass destruction and wrote 'Memorial' as a tribute to family and friends who are no longer with us.
In addition to the musical tribute, the Cathedral service will include readings and prayers, offering the people of Christchurch an opportunity to reflect on the one year anniversary of this tragic event.
The 7.30am service lasting aprox 45 minutes will be repeated again at midday.
Ends.
