Cuisine Wine Country Magazine Launches 7th October

Cuisine Wine Country Magazine Launches 7th October

With just 12 rows of grapes in its vineyard, The 12 Virgins winery at Clevedon, South Auckland, is one of New Zealand’s smallest wine producers to feature in Cuisine Publications’ new magazine, Cuisine Wine Country.

Co-written by Bob Campbell MW and leading foodwriter, Lauraine Jacobs, Cuisine Wine Country replaces the former Cuisine Wine Annual as New Zealand’s most authoritative guide to the country’s wineries and wine regions. It features every one of New Zealand’s 362 wineries, from Cape Reinga to the Bluff.

The 304 page annual focuses on the total experience of wine, food and associated good living in New Zealand’s wine regions. It contains wine listings, winery profiles, regional features and a selection of activities in each region – from a great café for lunch to the best place for a round of golf.

Cuisine Wine Country publisher, Julie Dalzell, said the magazine is a unique blend of reference material and a holiday planner for New Zealand and international travellers seeking food, wine and lifestyle leisure experiences.

“In 1982 New Zealand had only a handful of wine regions with 39 wineries. After two decades of major investment by the wine industry the country now boasts an incredible 362 wineries. There are more boutique wineries producing higher value wines and there are more wineries providing an overall tourism experience, not merely a few paddocks of grape vines.

“Cuisine Wine Country is not just an armchair read, it’s going to make people get up and go and experience these wonderful areas with all the fantastic activities they have to offer,” says Ms Dalzell.

Cuisine Wine Country will be on sale from Monday 7th October at a price of $16.95 incl GST.
