Mackenzie Muster nude festival set for January
The annual Mackenzie Muster nude festival will be held
near Lake Tekapo on January 10 to 13 next year.
Highlights including nude Highland Games, cross-country running with Aoraki/Mount Cook and the Southern Alps in the background.
The Great New Zealand lawnmower race, dog trials, Waratah tossing and mountain-bike racing are other events.
Kilts are optional for the Tartan Tie 'n Boot Party on the final night.
Golfers will be given a rare opportunity to play in the nude in the annual golf event at the scenic Mackenzie Golf Club course at Balmoral.
Organiser Kay Hannam said the Mackenzie Muster Naturist Festival had gained a world-wide reputation.
``Last
year the event was screened on Korean Television,’’ she said
today.
