QUOTE FROM FRANCESCO DE ANGELIS
At the end of today's racing Francesco de Angelis, skipper of Luna Rossa, said: "We knew from the start that this was going to be a tough series and it was. Even though the scoreboard result of 4-0 may lead to believe it was an easy walk, in reality we had to perform at our best in order to overcome this hurdle and the excellent work of the crew, who performed really well, was a key factor. Rod Davis also had a series of good starts and this was a great help, too. Now we must make another leap forward e we must use well the time we have, both with modifications on the boat ashore as well as with tests on the water with the two boats. We are satisfied with the boat as it performed well both upwind and downwind. The chance we had of starting our modifications immediately after the last series of races was a key factor and today we were able to test the new bow in some chop, with good results. In today's match the jibe we made right after rounding the first mark was the turning point of the race for us and it allowed us to gain control over our competitors."
