Just a friendly reminder for your weekend listings that the landmark retrospective exhibition Colin McCahon - A Question of Faith, now on at City Gallery Wellington finishes this Sunday 9 March at 5pm.
This is probably the last opportunity Wellingtonians will have in their lifetime to see such a large collection of works by our most important artist.

Curator's Tour of Colin McCahon: A Question of Faith Marja Bloem Saturday 8 March, 12noon Acclaimed European curator Marja Bloem (Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam) returns to City Gallery to offer her unique insight into the work of Colin McCahon. If you missed her in December, don't miss this final opportunity to enjoy her fascinating tour of the exhibition. 'After McCahon' again Christina Barton Saturday 8 March, 2pm Curator and art historian Christina Barton revisits After McCahon, the exhibition of works by ten contemporary artists she curated for the Auckland City Art Gallery in 1989, and considers debates about the impact McCahon has had on artists of succeeding generations.
Colin McCahon and international 20th century art Marja Bloem Sunday 9 March, 2pm In this lecture, Marja Bloem from the prestigious Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and curator of Colin McCahon: A Question of Faith will place McCahon in the development of 20th century art. Basing her talk within the context of the Stedelijk's collection, she will discuss McCahon's unique position as an artist who both followed early 20th century art, and heralded it's later developments through his less abstract approach to painting.
