2 days until the First NZ Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix

On your marks get set go ?.. The Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix starts at midday on 30th March at Lower Domain Drive, Auckland and is set to have all the excitement and crowd- drawing appeal of the Grand Prix ?. but on a mini scale!

Teams from around the country have spent the last two months designing and creating trolleys that are set to alight the course with originality and humour. The 700m course has been specially designed to test contestant's stamina, speed and skills, singling out the Ferraris from the milk floats!

Among the contestants there'll be a racing coffin, a hot chili, a wheelie bin, a flaming bull, an egg and a jet plane. This really is the race where fast is good but outrageous is better!

Each team will be judged on creativity, showmanship and speed. Whilst speed is good, it will be the showmanship points that will make or break any close calls.

In the judges podium will be Ben Dallas (NZ Cadet Karting Junior Champion), Vanessa Quin (NZ woman's mountain biker) Neil Holt ? De Za Star and Mike Eady (NZ National Formula 4 champion).

MCs for the day are Virgine Le Brun and comedian Radar who are set to entertain the crowds with live commentary of all the action.
